(Hee hee hee)

YES !!!!!! I'm still pretty much active !!!!
(as of 12 Oct 2013)

Greetings one and all who land on this page!!!

I have left this page alone for a couple of years, but I'm pretty much doing the same stuff as I was years ago ....... just getting better at it !!!!!

c",)

I shall be posting new stuff as and when, ya?

Cheers, guys !!!!

The works of local playwrights came to life as 6 of them had their Mini Musicals staged at the Esplanade on Monday 16 June 2008 at 7pm and 9:30pm. Tickets to both shows were SOLD OUT!!!!

We had two very successful runs, making the audience laugh and cry; most importantly, understand and feel with us.
The cast was KICK ASS AWESOME!!!! Working hand in hand with the crew and musicians, it left both the audience and those involved in the production wanting more. But sorry folks .... 1 night only.

Here are reviews from
Estella Ng , Gareth Lee , Grace , Jeremy Yew ,
and Leong Su Zhen

Caccini's Ave Maria by Ben

FINALLY found someone to record this version of Ave Maria - Ben Carpenter.

He's got a super high range that I wish I still have. Dang.
Glad I caught it before it's gone.

Originally written in G minor, he takes this in B minor.

A Tribute to the late Thaddeus Cheong

A Tribute to this great athlete who's our dear friend and brother.

MPS National Day 2006 Percussion Performance

This is a video (thank you, Albert) of the Percussion Team from MacPherson Primary School, Singapore, that performed a little something for the National Day Celebrations.

Tried giving them complex rhythms. Had to tone it down a little.

They sure feel Da Beat !!!! But hands and muscles not developed to handle the speed (stick section).

All in all, GOOD JOB GUYS !!!!

Experimental music video (Bukan Akhir Dari Segalanya) produced in 2004

Fun little production I was involved with back in 2004, after graduation from SMU.
Singer Roslina's got a great voice !!!!! She plays this little angel who pops out of nowhere to rescue me from my misery of being stood up and dumped. Heeh
Check out my co-actor. She's a real babe !! Acted with me in a stage musical (not telling you which one). She makes one GREAT Dorothy. Oh .. Darn ... oops. HAHAHAHAHA
Director Zul's got GREAT ideas and angles. Just you watch !!!

Tunnel Through Time - My 2nd Major Breakthrough

This is a summary of the musical staged in Singapore in 2004 that brought laughter and tears everyone who watched it. Sarimah (with the awesome voice) is singing this Dolly Parton hit over the minus one I did.

It is based on the true life story of the late David Kinnear and his message to the world to Live Life to the Full !!! He lost the bulk of his overnight when he had a stroke that left him paralysed neck down.

Taken down but not out of the game of life, he continued to inspire and love.

And so, this musical is a result of all that happened.

Here, I play David with Sarimah as Rohaiya; and together with the whole heartful cast, we touched every single one connected to this production.

SMU's Inaugural Musical - Whispers in the Dark

"Whispers in the Dark" is Singapore Management University's FIRST stage musical. Written by the Pioneer Batch that started school in 2000. We were a wild bunch, and I discovered I was just about the oldest there. Hee hee. But being around the young ones made me feel young too.

Anyway .....

This is a shortened version of The Making of the musical that gave me my big break into the theatre scene.

I was asked to be the music director. I wrote the music, and I think it was pretty good, if I would say so. Heehee. c",)

The band comprised ME on piano / keyboards, Imran on bass / lead, JienYi on the Bass (when Imran's on lead), and (I cannot remember his name for the life of me) on the drums. He's super cool. Does HIGH POWERED riffs ...... with a straight face !!!!

We got in a flautist who did a beautiful haunting melody for the intro over the dance/mime. The sax was waaay cool !!!! And we had a trumpet to give the extra BLAST.

So ... to all my fellow pioneers and YOU watching this clip ...... THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES and GOD BLESS !!!
